Summary:
Responsible for the development and implementation of programs and strategies that will maximize the Suddenlink Communications market share and subsequent telecommunications product/service penetration through the acquisition of new business in a particular industry segment including, but not limited to, new-build and existing, multi-family and single-family residential project business. The Market Segment Manager is also required to oversee and manage the hiring, training and performance of the Direct Sales Supervisor(s) who lead a team of Direct Sales Representatives that call on residents and multi-family households. This position also works to ensure that the sales strategy and sales goals set at the corporate, region and district levels are followed and achieved respectively, by the Direct Sales Supervisors.

Essential Functions:
Analyze, develop, and execute on community and public relations activities, media relations, product launches, and related functions
Analyzes market conditions and participates in the negotiation of competitive telecommunications agreements based on strategic, financial, legal and operational criteria
Develop and implement a request tracking process to ensure the visibility and proper disposition of requests through industry specialist channels
Maintain and develop relationships with existing and prospective customers.
Assist in the development of marketing, advertising, and promotional materials and strategies utilized in retaining and acquiring business within the industry segment
Oversee promotional and incentive programs, manage campaigns for systems and setup in retail locations
Responsible for revenue growth and budgeting
Coordination and Leadership
System communications, onsite visits and motivator
Train and maintain the sales & marketing culture
Assist with new uniforms and company vehicle appearance
Leads and motivates Direct Sales Supervisors in Door-to-Door activity to meet or exceed corporate/regional sales goals
Sets direction and maintains focus of direct reports
Manager will coordinate effectively with operational and installation counterparts to ensure high quality customer service
Manager works directly with Direct Sales Supervisors to ensure sales goals are achieved in alignment with corporate/regional sales strategies
Contacts Direct Sales Supervisors to discuss results and coaches them on their performance (including leadership skills)
Conducts reviews of direct reports to ensure that performance standards are met and if not, takes immediate action to improve performance level
Manager maintains effective utilization performance and career development of Direct Sales Supervisors in all targeted areas
Manager will sign off on commission reports for Direct Sales Supervisors
Serves as a subject matter expert and/or on selected customer sales
Controls expenses while meeting or exceeding revenue goals and maximizing product margin
Other duties and strategies as assigned

Minimum Position Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in area of expertise or closely related area required; minimum of 2 years experience in a telecommunications, marketing or related field; and/or combination of education and experience in industry segment
Related business experience will be taken into consideration

Physical Requirements:
Work split between office and field, ability to travel from 25% to 50% is required
Must be able to lift up 25 pounds
Must be able to work on a PC or computer terminal up to a full work shift/day
Must be able to speak fluently to communicate sales proposals and other company information to employees, customers, and prospects
Must be able to operate standard office equipment
Must be able to climb stairs
Must be able to use all extremities
Must be able to stand and/or sit for long periods of time; must be able to bend, stoop, walk, and sit

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
