Cardiac Catheterization Lab Nurse Manager

The Director of Cath Lab must promote good public relations for the department and the hospital while maintaining patient/customer confidentiality.
The Director of Cath Lab applies and implements the philosophy, goals and objectives of the facility.
Provides the necessary leadership to ensure the department and organization is in full compliance with laws, rules, regulations, and JCAHO standards.
Integrates the department's services with the hospital's primary functions as well as with other departments.
Implements procedures that guide and support this provision of services.
Provides sufficient number of qualified and competent staff recommended to provide services.
Identifies qualifications and competence of departmental personnel.
Assesses and improves the department's performances.
Maintains appropriate quality control programs.
Assures that orientation, in-service, and continuing education is provided to all persons in the department.
Makes recommendations for space and resources needed by department.
Selects outside sources for needed services.
Professionally manages, with 24 hour responsibility and accountability, total coordination and direction of each assigned clinical area.
Manages and directs quality patient care by establishing and maintaining effective communication among nursing staff and other health disciplines.
Promotes good public relations for the units, the nursing department, and the hospital while maintaining patient confidentiality.
Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patient served on their assigned unit as indicated by age of population served.
Applies and implements the philosophy, goals, and objectives of the hospital 16.
Assists in ensuring, establishing, and maintaining, consistent with the philosophies of the hospital:
- A productive atmosphere with high morale.
- Good rapport with all necessary parties, e.
internal and external customers.
- Coordinated objectives and goals designed to improve the fiscal & organizational operation.
- A high quality work environment necessary for excellent patient/customer care by ensuring that standards set forth by the state, JCAHO, and other agencies are met.
Exercises all duties consistent with the needs of all patient/customers regardless of age.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
