4K a year Local CPA firm has opening for an receptionist/administrative assistant to work with current personnel to provide administrative support to ensure efficient operation of the office.
Candidates must be able to meet deadlines and interact with clients.
Should be computer literate, able to deal with the public, and work well with other employees.
Position requires proficiency in Microsoft Office software.
Responsibilities include:
Answers phone calls, schedules meetings and supports visitors.
Carries out administrative duties such as filing, copying, binding, scanning etc.
Makes travel arrangements for senior staff such as hotel reservations.
Exhibits polite and professional communication via phone, e-mail, and mail.
Supports team by performing tasks related to organization and strong communication.
Assist with monthly billing process and accounts receivable.
Provides information by answering questions and requests.
Maintains supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level, anticipating needed supplies, placing and expediting orders for supplies.
Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Periodically assist with client accounting service department as needed.
Additional duties as necessary during seasonal busy seasons.
Salary commensurate with experience.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
